Concordia University Conference: Building Connections: Preventing Violent Extremism in Canada

The CPRLV will participate in the conference Building Connections: Preventing Violent Extremism in Canada from March 19 to 23, 2018, at Concordia University. Organized by Child Soldiers Initiative, the Canada Center for Community Engagement Prevention of Violence and Concordia University’s Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights, this conference will be an opportunity for community organizations, law enforcement, governments and researchers to share best practices in preventing violent radicalization in the Canadian context.

The CPRLV will present the new educational tool developed in partnership with the Child Soldiers Initiative to analyze situations of radicalization in a multidisciplinary approach during the workshop Understanding the pathways to radicalization – An interdisciplinary case management tool. The report Women and Violent Radicalization, co-produced with the Conseil du statut de la femme, will be presented during the Gender and Radicalization Leading to Violence panel.
