Training session offered at Table jeunesse de St-Hubert, in Longueil
On January 30, the Centre offered a presentation on the prevention of radicalization leading to violence as well as a presentation of the campaign “What if I was wrong? When we talk, we learn!” in Longueil. The presentation was offered at the Table jeunesse de St-Hubert, which featured about 20 organizations offering services to youth in the sector. The presentation made it possible to demystify the phenomenon of radicalization leading to violence in addition to opening rich exchanges around interactions with young people whose ideas tend to become rigid during adolescence. In addition, it was agreed that a curiosity posture is appropriate to capture the world of meaning of young people and maintain the links with them despite the fact that the counsellors can sometimes be confronted in their values and visions of the world.
