Launch of the French version of the Action Guidelines for preventing violent extremism

The Center supported the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development in the launch the French version of the Guide “Youth-led Guide on Prevention of Violent Extremism Through Education“. This guide, summarized and translated into French, brings together stories and testimonials from young people across 50 countries around the world and is mainly addressed to teachers, families and guardians, religious leaders, school administrators and policy makers. The key messages emerging from the analysis of this latest series of stories presented by the young contributors are that Peace, empathy, and compassion cannot be taught, the fact that people need to start now in order to prevent violent extremism through education, and that this is a long process.
