What should I do if I am the victim of a hate crime or incident?

If you think you have been the victim of a hate incident or crime, it is important that you report it to the appropriate authorities. If you wish, you may do so anonymously. Do not hesitate to ask for support, especially from the CPRLV.

Call 9-1-1.
– Contact your local police station.
– Report the incident anonymously to Info-Crime Montréal (514 393 1133).
Call a crime victim’s assistance centre (CAVAC) (1 866 532-2822).

Whether you are the victim of either a hate crime or a hate incident, you can count on the confidential support of CPRLV specialists. When you contact the CPRLV :

  • you will benefit from active listening and community support adapted to your situation ;
  • you will be able to consult a qualified professional who will assist you or direct you to services adapted to your needs ;
  • you will receive ongoing personalized, confidential support for any steps you may need to take.

The CPRLV at the RCJEQ Congress

On November 3rd and 4th, the CPRLV went to Lévis for the Congress of the Réseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec! The CPRLV team was able to present our services and to create strong links with partners from the region of Quebec.
